Stressed Up People
Wow, are our lifestyles nowadays that stressful or it is just that citizen journalism is becoming a trend where you have vigilante "reporters" going around armed with their handphone cameras and blog from sometimes different angles as that taken by mainstream journalism.
There is this video clip of this uncle who goes on and on verbally attacking a youth in the bus when the youth told him he was talking on the phone real loud. Then there is this clip about this "lift auntie" in Singapore who was trying to "belt" this father and child in a lift was stopped by the security guard (though it was mentioned on the papers it is not known the cause for the conflict). Lastly you have this young Singaporean attacking this foreign worker on a bus.
Well, I have my own share of work stress too (though I am not acting it out like those mentioned above). I attended the longest meeting ever today, had to meet with my colleague to plan for an upcoming carnival. There were so many things to look into and the whole meeting lasted from morning till evening 6pm. We had to in the end stop the meeting because we were just too tired to think.
But, I want to really thank God that someone I invited to the upcoming Rick Warren dinner said yes. And also, my cell group started this prayer partner thingy and I was paired up with this other brother. I worry that it might take a bit of effort to start because I wasn't sure how receptive this brother in christ was to the prayer partner thingy but surprisingly, instead of me calling him yesterday evening, he actually called and the whole call went well, with him being open and sharing about his spiritual struggles as I did with mine.
