In God's Timing

God Blesses...
Sometimes some things happen and it makes it very difficult to believe there is no God... God has brought me to my current job in a Christian organisation and has also blessed me from day one... I continually see His blessings and guidance and continue to give thanks for it (sometimes I do worry that this favour will not last long).

Today, it happened again; God always send the right people with the right skills at the right time whenever I needed volunteers. I have recently started to look out volunteers for relatively large scale projects to take place in the later half of this year; two fundraising projects and one elderly charity luncheon and performance. And as I sat down to clear the pile of volunteer applications, which has sat on my desk for close to two months now, I started to realize that some could be suitable for these projects. Had I cleared them earlier, I would have deployed them to do other things. As I spoke to every one of them, I realized that some are in committees of halls, some are in performance CCAs like chinese orchestra, some are in cosplay. Perfectly suitable to help me in my fundraising and performance at the charity luncheon.

I was also looking for volunteers to help with curriculum development and surprisingly, a volunteer who I was interviewing today and thought would opt for direct work, actually chose to help with that project.

I had also been thinking about incorporating service learning into my volunteer assignments but do not know how to. But today, I was invaded with ideas after ideas for an upcoming service learning project I am coordinating for a school and these hit me just as I was ironing my clothes... eureka!

... I Give Thanks
Being blessed itself is not enough... with a thankful heart, i would like to give thanks for:
  • My Sister's Safety - I thank God for watching over her and that the snake did not attack her last week
  • My Dad's Health - I thank God for watching over my dad when he went for his eye surgery today. Even though he is inflicted with many medical conditions and today's surgery is a minor one, I still thank God for a successful surgery.
  • My Work - I thank God for all the blessings the work I do. (Anyway, was given a little time to idle today, somehow I just wasn't in the mood to do anything and towards the last 2 hours at work, I just stared at the screen... tired or lazy, I don't know).
